A curious little flower dreams of something more

Read the story

In the heart of the forest, a curious little flower dreams of something more—something human. After witnessing a tender exchange between two people and their flowers, the bloom is filled with wonder, hope, and a quiet longing to be seen.

The Love Flower is a gentle, poetic tale about waiting, growing, and the deep desire to be known and loved. Through soft watercolor illustrations and lyrical storytelling, D-Bey captures the beauty of nature, the warmth of connection, and the quiet magic of being chosen.

Perfect for readers of all ages, this story reminds us that love often finds us in the most unexpected ways—when we’re patient, when we’re ready, and when our hearts are open.

Why D-Bey Writes

Tomorrow is never promised, and the love we feel today deserves to be expressed today.

D-Bey is a lifelong creative whose journey has taken him through film, television, art, and storytelling. He is also a proud father of four and grandfather of two, roles that continue to inspire his love for family, creativity, and sharing meaningful lessons with the next generation.

He created The Love Flower after a personal experience with loss reminded him of something both simple and profound: tomorrow is never promised, and the love we feel today deserves to be expressed today.

Through The Love Flower, D-Bey hopes to encourage children to move through the world with curiosity, kindness, and confidence—to embrace who they are, appreciate the people they love, and never be afraid to let that love show.
